Pilates is a series of non-impact exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and inner awareness and promotes a feeling of physical and mental well-being. Joseph Pilates quoted that in 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a new body. It is a great way to achieve body toning and postural improvement by strengthening and lengthening the muscles without creating bulk.

 

At Worx Health and Fitness we use various pieces of equipment to offer a top-quality Pilates class experience to our members. Come down to our gym in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast and experience a Pilates class for yourself, we know you’ll love it!

Bar Pilates

Bar Pilates at Worx is a fusion Pilates class using Queenax Superfunctional bar. A suspension fitness training bar developed by Queenax that provides a greater level of confidence in suspension thanks to its dual anchor points. Superfunctional is a simple, inclusive tool that accommodates conventional suspended bodyweight Pilates movements plus play-based and skill-based training. Movements are largely dominant in the sagittal plane, but Superfunctional also accommodates multi-planar motions by selecting asymmetric grip positions and rotational movement patterns.

 

Superfunctional goes beyond traditional suspended bodyweight Pilates by allowing users to stand, sit, push, pull, hang and swing.

Fitball Pilates
